The Level One Herbal Studies Program is designed to accommodate a broad array of students. Those enrolled will learn the mechanics of basic herbalism, including making safe and effective herbal products, plant identification and usage, an overview of Anatomy & Physiology, and how the plants interact with the human body.
Students meet as a class 10 times: for initial orientation, for 8 weekends on Saturday and Sunday, then for a final project presentation/graduation ceremony where earned certificates are awarded.
In addition to regularly scheduled class time, each student is responsible for fulfilling practicum hours, which provide an opportunity to work hands-on in the Misty Meadows wholistic gardens and off-site learning responsible and sustainable methods of wildcrafting.
